 what we do

Rauser Construction provides a tailored homebuilding experience. Our roots are firmly established in the Austin design and construction communities where we are known for building with the utmost quality. We created Rauser Construction in order to deepen the level of service and attention we provide to homeowners and architects. Through years of experience we have developed the knowledge, resources, and team of trades to achieve our clients’ goals.

 what we value

We value relationships. We believe that the construction process should be a pleasant and rewarding experience for all involved. Our depth of professional management and administration ensures clear communication across the entire project team.

We value design and we are inspired by the projects we build. Our design literacy allows us to clearly translate the details on paper into well-crafted homes. Rauser Construction is privileged to work with some of the most talented craftspeople in the region.

We are focused exclusively on providing the highest level of construction for our clients.

who we are

Eric Rauser AIA

owner

Eric began his construction career as a laborer in the early 1990s, while on summer breaks from architecture school at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He practiced architecture before returning to construction in 2008. Eric advocates for close coordination between architects and builders, a movement now producing the most successful residential projects in Austin. He is honored to have been elected AIA Austin Chapter President for 2020. Shaping an environment where everyone can do their best work is what drives him. That and coffee. Lots of coffee.

Rebekah Rauser

owner

Rebekah’s attention to detail and skill for creating organizational systems ensure that Rauser Construction runs smoothly and efficiently. From estimating to job costing, she tracks every project from beginning to end. Rebekah is a native Texan and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin. To nourish her artistic drive, she creates public works of art and clothing based on militaria from around the world. She also loves a good pun.

brett greig AIA

Construction Manager

Brett transitioned to homebuilding in 2014, after nearly a decade as a practicing architect. Her background makes her especially suited to execute complex details and translate design into reality. But for Brett the most rewarding aspect of project management is the relationships — serving as the liaison between homeowner, architect, and trades and ensuring that communication flows clearly between all three. Brett’s loves include a well-curated bookshelf, her non-stop twin daughters, and her patient, patient husband — though not necessarily in that order.

Anna Hawkins

project Manager

Anna joined Rauser Construction in 2020. With a background in engineering, Anna approaches building with an analytical mind. Her superpower is cultivating a positive work environment for everyone who steps foot on her site, from the homeowner to the architect to the person swapping the dumpster. Outside of work, she keeps busy entertaining/being entertained by her two little boys, and enjoying Austin’s outdoor scene with family and friends.

Alex Long

Project Manager

Alex has over 25 years of experience as a Project Manager and Superintendent on high-end residential construction. He’s been working in Austin since 2007. He cut his teeth building luxury houses and retail in Aspen, Colorado for nine winters. After studying Construction Management at LSU, he advanced to PM and Chief Estimator - executing hospitals, clean rooms, and wastewater treatment plants for large commercial general contractors. Alex’s artistic outlets include photography and dancing Argentine tango.

Cory Subasic

Project Manager

Cory brings to Rauser Construction a rigorous understanding of the integral relationship between construction and architecture. He studied at Auburn University’s Rural Studio, culminating in a built passive cooling research project in conjunction with McGill University in 2021. An architectural residency in Nova Scotia filled his time between graduate school and moving to Austin in 2022. When off site, Cory has restless hands kept busy baking bread, woodworking, and mountain biking. Cory and his partner, Livia, love their dog and two cats and trying out all Austin has to offer.
